The Bachelor of Science in Nursing BScN After Degree Program is for students who come to nursing with a recognized university degree in any field of study, and is offered both in Edmonton and in Camrose.
The Faculty of Nursing recognizes that students who already hold a degree have developed critical thinking and analytical skills.
These skills, combined with career and life experience and, in many cases, additional education, make these individuals excellent candidates for this program. Both program sites provide students with the skills to practice as Registered Nurses in urban and rural areas and in variety of settings.
Applicants may apply to both the Edmonton and Camrose program locations, but as a condition of admission the program must be completed at whichever location the student enrolls in; transfers between locations are not permitted. The Faculty of Nursing offices and lab are located in the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy, however classes can occur in various buildings around campus.

Students are responsible for their transportation to practice placements and for the costs of travel and accommodations where applicable. Home to all of the University of Alberta's health science disciplines, Edmonton Clinic Health Academy is designed specifically to teach team-based and patient-centred care.
Classes in this program are not held at the Augustana campus. The two Faculties do however collaborate with regards to various student services. Faculty of Nursing students at the Camrose site are assessed Augustana non-instructional feesallowing them access to certain facilities and services at Augustana.
The Augustana Students' Association provides an off-campus housing registry and other local listings are available in Camrose. In past years some students have chosen to commute from Edmonton or other communities to Camrose; students ;considering this option should be aware that ongoing on-time attendance is expected and travel times and weather conditions should be carefully evaluated.
Camrose site students may be assigned to clinical placements in Camrose or as far away as kilometres. The most current course descriptions are available on Bear Tracks.

Application for an extension to the program must be submitted to the Student Advisor. With approval, students have up to three years to complete the requirements for this program. Therefore, it is necessary to undertake full-time studies and it is not possible to complete this program on a part-time basis.
